Depending on what truck you have, some of those relays may have never been there as those features were not used on the vehicle, like the trans cooler relay not used on the 1078-1079... They spec four separate relay part numbers, you really only need two. 5 post relays will plug into and work...
Mine has valve stems and valve cores(schrader valve) installed in them and the CTIS system inflates and deflates the tires just fine...
you have 3 solenoid valves on the pressure control unit(PCU) manifold behind the passenger kick plate.
The control solenoid is normally open and vents the...
When nothing works, I start at the source(battery, alternator). When some things work like in your case, I pick one item and work from it backward toward the source. Often times running one down and fixing one item will fix a problem that turns out to be common to your other issues.
SO, since...
You should see battery voltage minus 1/2V(diode loss) at the lugs in the PDP measured to ground in the PDP. If you dont have battery voltage at the test point lugs on the PDP you have a connection issue somewher between the batteries and the lugs on the PDP or ground. The wiring goes from the...
The fallback if you damage a wheel valve trying to get it apart(or for any other reason), and it is unsalvagable, is to simply plug the center hole in the inner housing. The diaghpram via the spring would normally seal this hole, but if the valve is damaged you can screw in a small sheet metal...
There are 2. The primary filter has the primer bulb on top and water bowl on the bottom. This feeds the lift pump on the governor. The lift pump pushes the fuel thru the secondary filter which is right behind the governor and on to the head/injectors.
I bent the metal plate mine is mounted on and put it on the last two bolts at the right of the panel. The wheel dosnt block the view off to the right. Like your mount design!
The protection valve dosnt really supply emergency air, the emergency supply Flows thru it and past a control port in the protection valve on its way to the emer gladhand. Its root supply is the trailer supply valve in the dash.
Why I was asking is there are a bunch of variants of the...
Was that voltage AT the batteries? 12.6-13.8 on the 12V side is low, should be 14.5, or at the very least 1/2 of the 24V side, which in a perfect world would be closer to 29V... this could be as simple as a poor connection between alt and battery. A quick check is to measure the running...
Could be... Or the control valve portion of your trailer supply valve is stuck...
It makes sense that they would interact. Might be a bad thing motoring down the road if you lost or inadvertently released the park air(set park brake) and applied only the rear axle brakes without applying the...
The drawing shows that the trailer supply valve has a control port that receives park air. It needs park air supplied to that port before it will deliver emergency air to the air brake protection valve.
My truck had a flat when Iwent to pick it up. They had the airhose kit at the yard, but...
Remember that there are a lot of variations of these trucks. The power panel was configured for all these variants. Mine had relays and circuit breakers in place for the oil cooler found on the 1088...
Yes, I believe those ratios from the Allison 3700 brochure are for the trans and transfer combined. The transfer adds that 1.2:1 to ALL the gears output from the transmission(1-7 and R) 1st gear is generated in the transmission, as it must be to drive the P3 planetary carrier which drives the...
Yes they are, and they aren’t:) Those six ratios listed are the core ratios out of the 3000 series transmission which the 3070 uses for 2nd thru 7th gear. The transfer case applies an additional 1.2:1 ratio in fixed gearing. When you multiply those ratios by 1.2 you get the final driveshaft...
Looking at the way it is plummed, I would say you would open the valve next to the reg, while the other valve(vent) is closed, to send regulated air pressure to the tires to inflate.
To deflate you could simply lower the reg pressure and the tire air would bleed back thru the regulator...
