For whatever reason, some guys convert to 12v, install push buttons, etc.

The afterglow is to keep temps in cylinders up until sustained combustion is assured.
When it’s really cold outside, engine has a chance of stalling and quitting without afterglow.
A lot of chemicals will break down the rubber over time.
It soaks in and while rubber appears to be clean and dry on the outside, it’s is not.
Slowly breaking down the rubber from within and leading eventually to failure.

Extra belts and plys are insurance to me.

That trailer is a perfect match for that truck.
Keep the surge brakes maintained and you’ll hardly notice it’s back there.

It’s not getting the trailer going. A Prius can do that.
It’s stopping and handling.
Chevy pickup is larger and heavier than an Xterra.
Better able to handle trailer weight, but stopping still an issue with no trailer brakes.
Using something as small and light as an Xterra is just begging...
