Blower Motor acting weird and now truck will not crank. M1008A1

D Was thinking about that last night while looking at TMs. That it’s more likely Ignition/fan switch or ?? But will do testing tomorrow. Busy today. I’ve physically checked all the fuse links under the hood. All are solid. Haven't dug into the Dash yet except fuse box. The Dash wiring...

Blower Motor acting weird and now truck will not crank. M1008A1

I did that yesterday and physically checked every fuse link. Already applied Electrical grease to everything and made sure all connections tight. Hands on checking everything, not just looking.

Blower Motor acting weird and now truck will not crank. M1008A1

The Doghead relay one. If the fan switch is bad, would that make GEN1 light come on when turned on? I’m not seeing it in the TM schematics so far.

Blower Motor acting weird and now truck will not crank. M1008A1

Installed new blower resistor and fan doesn't work after a bit. Doing same thing. Fan comes on and works fine, then quits and GEN1 light comes on. Alternator works fine and when GEN1 light is on, Dash VM is still reading fine. VM check on the alternator itself at idle and the reading is...

Blower Motor acting weird and now truck will not crank. M1008A1

Made a Jumper and jumped the starter relay terminals. Fired right up. Relay went out. Will get a new one. Still troubleshooting blower motor issue.

Blower Motor acting weird and now truck will not crank. M1008A1

Just checked the starter relay with a voltmeter. 25.08V (engine off) on red wire. Nothing on the others. Same readings when turning key to start position. Edit: Voltmeter shows GP relay functioning normally

Blower Motor acting weird and now truck will not crank. M1008A1

Checked that one physically and it’s fine. The fan and no start are somehow related.

Blower Motor acting weird and now truck will not crank. M1008A1

A few days ago I had the blower motor on Hi and all was normal for a few minutes and then the blower motor quit and the GEN1 light came on. Drove home and parked truck. Next day, same thing, but this time I left the switch on Hi and after a few seconds, the fan came back on and GEN1 light went...

Oil cooler lines - Napa, build your own with AN fittings, or hack/rig the stockers?

CUCVRUS I wasn’t talking about the hydraulic hoses as cheap. They are not and are a quality replacement. Was as referring to the OPs blanket statement of going cheap and easy. You know as well as I do a lot of guys take the cheap route, only to spend twice the price later when it fails...

    M923A2 Parts Truck

I watched a lot worse condition ones sell for more than that last week on GP. So I would say yes, you definitely would be money ahead. Only you can determine if it’s worth it. I would buy it

    Iso unicor nf2d manual

Well the TO for the unit, for whatever reason, is a controlled item. You have to have special access just to look at it. Seriously, I’m not making this up! (I think someone mentioned it was controlled earlier.) All attempts for a copy have failed so far. Still waiting to hear from a source...

6CTA8.3 engine rebuild for Sur Móvil

Running that turbo wheel as is and you risk bearing failure or worse, the wheel will/could disintegrate at speed causing a lot of damage. It’s like a grenade going off. Your guaranteed an engine rebuild then with all the metal it will injest. We had chinook that was ready to lift and the...

Oil cooler lines - Napa, build your own with AN fittings, or hack/rig the stockers?

As noted, ACDelco still makes them. There was a SS member who repaired his using AN fittings and braided hose. Looked good and it’s a lifetime fix since it’s so easily repairable. I think the tread was placed in the cucv stickies. Haven’t looked myself to verify. If you want cheap and...
