They are brand new. CARA has four 2008 and one 2005 tires that appear brand new with whiskers and no evidence of dry rot; however, I do not feel safe riding on them. The price of the new tires is less than my funeral would cost.
I converted CARA (1998 M1079) from four to two batteries. Installed replacement MWM air dryer. New tires arrived today. I’m awaiting O-rings to service CTIS when I mount them.
I've seen several pics of cab interiors that have multicam video displays of rear and side views. Given my mirrors tendency to rotate so I get excellent views of my door, does anyone have experience with brands that work well and/or brands to avoid?
My 1998 M1079 with a 2013 box has the stock four battery 12 / 24 volt configuration. What is gained by changing to a single voltage system? What is lost? I plan on putting solar on the roof. Does 12 vs 24 volt solar have advantages / disadvantages.

There is about 1/4” of what appears to be rubber in the rectangular cup. Not as thick as what you show in your pic. I think the more material in the cup the less the habitat can safely flex on the frame.
I wondered why the spare tire lift on my 1998 M1079 would not lower the tire. It appears that the lift was too high when the new box was put on in 2013. I had to lift the box about 2" to be able to get the lift in proper position. It worked perfectly after repositioning.
