Installed new gates in the back AND front on the tan M101A2.
Just made a very versatile trailer even more so.
Will be installing new cargo D-ring tie downs soon.
Finally installed NOS gates on back and front.
The front gate will be very nice and handy!!
Next project, besides installing the new free-back brake assembly's, is to paint the trailer CARC green.
Its time.
Yes, they turn like an oil tanker for sure.
Owning a 5 ton requires that you plan ahead before turning.
You can adjust your steering stops but turn too tight and you risk tearing your Axle boots. So I've read.
AN fittings are the way to go IMO.
I use Aeroquip fittings and hoses since I can get them cheap. Benefits of being in aviation.
More expensive of course, but will last the life of the truck.
My M1008A1 came with new hoses already installed, but when they need replaced, it's AN fittings for sure.

He wasn't rude at all.
He was correct.
You clearly do not understand the cucv 12/24v system.
It took me a bit to understand it. Now it's easy.
Reading about and researching old threads/schematics on it helped a lot.
Also the continuous run-on sentence post of yours was difficult to read...
Sitting a lot doesn't help.
Yes, the Military lets things sit a very long time. A lot of problems can occur because of that.
Drive it more or at least start it and let it run for an hour or so weekly.
Most guys add something to the fuel to keep everything lubed.
I use two-cycle motor oil...
