I did. Let me find the link and you can get the same ones I did. They're lap belts, self retracting and easy to use/install. When I get home in a couple weeks, I'll take pics for you of the install.

Yup. The turn signal light would come on because 3 of the lights were lit up, but because the 4th was shorted, it was dark and wouldn't flash.

I had the same issue with my right turn signal. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. I removed the lens covers from both lights and discovered the power wire to the socket had worn through the insulation on my front light, causing it to short. I repaired the wire and have had zero issues...
