    2003 M1078A1 3126B 330 horsepower flash

They're commercially available through a popular auction website under " Bypass Breakout Cable for Cat 70pin ECM's Bench Tuning Harness ". You'll need a communications adapter to plug it into your laptop. The military uses DPA 3+ and DPA 4+ units for this.

    2003 M1078A1 3126B 330 horsepower flash

You're missing the expensive CAT ET access, 70 pin patch cable, time investment, and risk of course. There are ways to make the process more cost effective but nothing short of experience can help you unless you've got a good CAT buddy and a case of beer. Yes, the 3126 engine serials start with...

What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

Hey Welches. Nope. It will become a camper build and get repainted gray anyway.

What have you done to your 10 ton this week?

Time to give this thread a little juice.. I've come into the possession of a M1014 MAN K1 aka the "HEMTT's German cousin" as the Stig would put it. It's a different type of machine I will give it that. Amazingly built but there's far too few out there so I'm proud to say I have one. Does...

What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

Finished up this M1085A1 today. After a power wash two LED marker lights decided to take a vacation. Never 100% done with a truck in this hobby! :p

Steel Soldiers MV of the month 2022 - October VOTE HERE!

Here's @Barrman's video from the 2022 TX Steel Soldiers Rally as we depart the BVORR (Brazos Valley Off Road Ranch). It was almost as much fun explaining to TXDOT and the Brazos County Road Department that I owned "a tank" and wanted to drive it in a parade. These comments are ingrained in my...

What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

I saved a M1089 from a future of neglect yesterday. One of my contacts called me to appraise a non-running military vehicle and expected a M35A2 or something older. A deal was struck and she was running in about 20 minutes (it's all about knowing which screw to turn). CTIS aired up the flats and...

No run condition and Loping 3126 Cat 7.2 6x6

That unit only works on equipment. I orchard that exact kit from that site and it wouldn't communicate with anything due to being 24v. Look into a Dearborn Protocol Adapter aka DPA 3+/4+ on ebay. There are military ones but all should act the same of that generation. If you can't find one I have...

No run condition and Loping 3126 Cat 7.2 6x6

Do the simple steps first and trace your fuel lines looking for cracking and damage. Air in the system can cause various symptoms you're seeing but the second video sounds like multiple cylinders are missing. The HEUI pump is working since it does run (or did?). We could speculate all day but...

This isn't exactly a salvage yard, but it's awesome!

I know that place. Word through the grapevine is he is getting out of the business and retiring.

What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

Finished this one today from top to bottom. BAE went through it in 2007 and I in 2022. With a little body work and paint it could pass for a rebuilt truck.

Steel Soldiers MV of the month 2022 - October VOTE HERE!

Time for PMCS and to knock the dust off. Veterans' Day is only 3 week away! Also, not bad for a first time driver.

    Rare M923?

They're uncommon but not much is rare about them as a whole. Different bed, rear lockers (usually), and winch removed. That's about it.

Steel Soldiers MV of the month 2022 - October VOTE HERE!

My M113A4 is vehicle #1 made of the A4 family, the most recent domestic production M113. It was the proof of concept and tooling vehicle at the BAE factory and was never in Uncle Sam's hands. It was one of six initial vehicle produced and the only one left intact of that bunch. Three were sent...

    Texas title question

Texas also has a requirement that a vehicle be weighed if suspected to be over 10,000 lbs if the title doesn't state it or are applying for a bonded title. It's not a big deal and doesn't apply to this situation obviously but they will still require a weight slip if the title has "vin waved"...

    Texas title question

If it's over 25 years old it will require a vehicle appraisal form (VTR-125). It must be valued for $4000 minimum or the bond will be denied. If you need guidance and/or a appraisal you can reach out to me. What everyone has said is factual about getting an auto theft inspector to look at the...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I got this one back into fighting shape and wow.. it has power. Someone must have been in the pump because my GPS clocked 71 mph as did my follow car. Yellow isn't my choice of color but it's a decent paint job at least.
