My problem was that half of the line up I voted for in the monthly go around. I still think I picked the best of the litter for the MV of the Year though.
There were several Denman tires in that batch of 1,000 or so (at least it seemed like that many) that I bought out of WY. Of course none of mine were NOS.
Third From Texas has mine now but I worried until the day he drove it out of my driveway that I was going to take a header from the bed. I did that out of my Gama Goat and was just hoping I would be over dirt when I came out the back of the 1078.
As Barrman said, put a receiver hitch on it then add a Wilco Hitchgate. You can add jerrycan holders, HiLift jack brackets, etc and carry just about any size tire you want and when you don't want it on the truck just pull it off and stick it in the garage...

I really like the steps on the tailgate.
How long did it take to put the canopy up? I'm guessing it's a lot easier with 2 people. Seems like every time I had to do one it was by myself.
I just sold a '98 M1078 with A/C, new tires, and an almost NOS cargo cover (plus loads of extra parts including 2 new mounted tires) for $14k so whoever bought that one for $23k overpaid for it.
Good luck with the recovery. I'm heading out Monday for a 2500 mile round trip. Mine isn't a MV but I'll be driving a Nissan Titan towing a trailer to SD then picking up a F350 and putting the Nissan on the trailer for the trip back. The F350 is an auction buy so having to take faith in their...
