    There's a lot of H1s and Hmmwvs running a small bench between the rear seats. On the H1 it was a dealer add on. I dont know how they mounted it, but I'm sure it's a pretty straightforward process.

    You could build something very similar with off the shelf parts. You can grab a billet tie rod adjuster and two heim joints of the correct length and bolt diameter opening. I've built adjustable brackets that way before.

    You could register it in VT. They'll mail you a registration, title, and plates regardless of where you actually live.
