There was an original(?) 880 brushguard for sale on ebay a couple months back, it was not the same as a cucv, I think he said it came from a navy or coast guard owned truck. I was bidding on it but the price went high considering the shipping costs.
My 77 882 has the light kit with the switch, from time to time the blackout light kits for the 880 show up on ebay. I have to agree the 880 electrical system is quite fragile. I still love it though, seems to be one of my most used mv's.
I know there are two styles of legs, one uses a pin to secure it the other uses a sring loaded latch. I suspect the spring loaded latch is a later style but they both will bolt on any of the trailers.
Won the bid early January $815.00 then waited 40 days for the EUC. Picked it up with my lot of trailers at Dogheads in April. Purchased a gen trailer from Builder77's estate and restored it and had it ready for the generator. Sanded, primed and painted with carc in the 3 color camo pattern to...
I have a M1031 with the pto 12kw gen setup. With mine you need a seperate welder in order to weld, all the generator does is supply power. They were issued with a Miller 208v 3phase suitcase welder which fit into a shelf under the generator control panel. In my opinion the air compressor is...
All of my straps that secure the cover to the bows on top are sewn on upside down making it difficult to use the buckle clamp. Sounds like it was a common problem.
The bow system on the 116 trailer is a piss poor design, mine puddles as well. I plan on adding an additional support on either side of the ridge pole to better support the cover. I have not been able to find a source for new ones either, contacted both companies that supply them with no reply.
In the configuration you are showing it should be mounted in a MT-1029. From the back of the MT-1029 you will have an extra power cable connector to jump to the amp. Also the antenna matching unit will be controlled by the base unit, not the amp. So you will need the antenna matching cable from...
When it's running the meter should be reading. Lube order states oil/filter change every 100 hours. Drain water from filter bowls and check the condition of the air cleaner. I use the original Fram filters for the fuel and oil as they fit correctly and come with the proper gaskets.
I had one for a while, all you need is a standard power cable as used on the MT-1029 mount and a couple of bnc cables. Mine also came with a flexible metal strap that would attach it to a PRC-25/77 which I guess would be almost impossible to find but not needed.
