For me mig welding when inside the flux core is best but outside the solid core is best just a small breeze blows the shielding gas away . Thanks for the pictures of your build.
I drove a DM Mack and changed out the steering shaft when I put it back together I lined up the u joints like on a drive line and had a hard spot that would bind I then changed timing 1/2 turn at the slip joint and it was fine .
Yes I pulled the head and had it checked for cracks did a valve job and resurfaced the head . I should have re torqued the head and see if that would seal my leak the head gasket looked great . Now the head is back on and it waits till I can get back to it. I looked through my parts and...
I hope some one with a 10 ton would help with this . I said 30/30 chambers may be to small because that is a common size for trucks running 11 24.5 tires and your running duel 14-24 tires . I drove a Mack and Internationals with 12-24 tires and they had larger air chambers then 30/30 .
These pictures if a disc parking brake on a 1943 White 666 .The disc is 14or 15 inches in diameter with two sets of pads . I would like to have this park brake on my M52a2
I would check the travel on your brake chambers from all the way in (foot off the pedal ) to all the way out (foot on the pedal ) If it uses type 30 chambers 2 inches of travel is the legal max .
It's good because if you have to park on a hill you have a better brake set up .S cam with maxes is much better then air over hydraulic or wedge brakes . If you loose your fluid on a hydraulic brake system truck you still have air for your trailer .
I have a cracked exhaust manifold and coolant leaking in to the exhaust .I removed every thing to get the head off and got my extra 302 manifold from the shed and looking at them and found they where not the same .One # 218047 has heat control this one's cracked Other one # 2135490 has no...
Civilian trailer use's 2 inch king pin common size . Civilian trailer with air brakes and easy to find brake parts . Pulling a full air brake trailer behind a truck with hydraulic brakes is a good feeling . Good idea.
I know with out them the gasket seals for a short time and then starts sucking in air I found this out on a Chevrolet 216 years ago . I had no idea new ones could be found .
