    I've read that, and all the other threads about m1009s towing. The answers are all divided between the two(m101 or m416). What were the details behind the pintle destruction you witnessed? Mine did fine with a 1000lb safe in an m101a3.

    Also, I believe that the m101a1 did not introduce the "dump bed" (it does not dump), as the bed is the same as an m101.

    Post in the VIN info thread, I knew there was no way mine had only 7000 on it, VIN info stated it had over 90000, which means it likely had 107000.

    :?Some states do not require titles to register older vehicles. When I recovered my m1009, I drove it home, and it was registered, and insured. Not everyone who drives a truck home from auction is a law breaker.
