Blocked valve? Crap in the exhaust manifold get loose and got spit out?

    Mep802a panels

Are they "End of Use" yet? I've seen new in the foil LPW2 engines and a bunch of worked over LPW2's sold. No LPW4's since I started looking. And a few gen heads a year or so ago.

First power outage with the MEP803A

The alarm was pretty sensitive about having exactly all the white section of the wire wrapped around the feed. I suspect this is to be accurate in the presence of generator circuits. I missed a turn and it didn't detect the power the first time I wrapped it.

My 803 seems to dislike the cold

It's like a $20 rebuild. Just need a soldering iron. And easy to test for.

    Generator - Can you Identify?

It's clearly a LPW2 engine. The question is what gen head is attached. A 802, or a 812 head? Or something else? And where are the rest of the relays and controls?

My 803 seems to dislike the cold

I've got a G7200 hooked to the slave port. I just leave it plugged in all the time.

My first thought was batteries. But guessing.

My 803 seems to dislike the cold

Just from looking at the video, it looks like the fuel cut off solenoid is the source of the banging. It's like the start switch isn't making good contact.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I tend to give real names and location also. Except reddit. Because reddit. In general, we live in a world where information that you would gladly share with people can now be shared with more people. Many more. A conversation you'd have had with a bunch of guys around the water cooler at NAPA...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

And I can't equate SwampDonkey and any pictures I've seen on this board of the inside of his shop and other things he has with a real person who can be visited. (Well, maybe if I really started to stalk around, but *I* don't really care.) Of course, I haven't checked to see if SS strips out the...

    M925A2 Hydraulic System Mods

One valve on the crane's monoblock is for the winch on the crane. Which has a 1,000 PSI rating. So I need to add another relief valve (or 2?) to protect it if I'm going to raise the available crane pressure more. Or move it to a different valve using the power beyond option. Hasn't been a...

    M925A2 Hydraulic System Mods

The pressure gauge at the input to the crane's stack is 500 PSI. The crane's valves are all OC and that's just the pressure with no work being done. (or my gauge is crap, but...) 500 is what I assumed the restriction from the system of having a 1" pump pushing through a 3/4" selector and down...

    M925A2 Hydraulic System Mods

Right. Flowing with all valves centered the system shows 500 PSI when sent to the crane. The crane was rated to 2500 PSI, the winch on it to 1K. I wasn't sure what the valve on the crane was rated for (2nd hand purchase) and since it's at the back of the bed and a long ways off I figured I'd...

    M925A2 Hydraulic System Mods

I used the same selector valve, but in 3/4" NPT and with a pressure relief after the pump before the winch control valve. Feeding the valves for the crane on the back.

    M925A2 Hydraulic System Mods

I wound up putting a selector valve instead of doing this. Mainly because the crane I was mounting had a lot less flow through it's valves than the winch valve did.

Weight. WA would tag it if it was under 2K lbs. Off-road with occasional on-road use is fine, but the laws around it put a weight cap.

FMVSS when? When the contract was awarded? When the exact HMMWV in question rolled off the line? Today? I suspect the standards have changed during a production run that spanned 30 years. Same for the engine meeting EPA standards or needing a waiver. The government keeps buying the same item...
