Find yourself a 700R4, preferably out of a diesel blazer but any of the R4's should work. It would be a good idea to rebuild it with heavy duty parts and you will need the flywheel and converter for the diesel. I do not remember if the driveshafts have to be fabbed or not. You will also need the...
The 6.2 will always need the glow plugs to start even if it is hot out. Once the engine is warmed up you don't need them. Do NOT use ether!!!!!!!!!!! The compression on the 6.2 is 21:1 and you will blow the head gaskets right out. You could even bend a rod. The 6.5 is 17:1 and I still would not...
Ridini, thanks, I would like to have a backup in case I cannot park at the site. If you can e-mail me some contact info it would be appreciated. My e-mail is rickf1985@comcast.net
Dave, thanks for the info, I did get a call from Tom from the club last night. I always do my best to take up no...
YUP, Had If you have false teeth you will know shaft is bent by the time you reach thirty MPH. If you don't have false teeth you will know around forty MPH when your fillings start to fall out!:-D

The way you describe it sounds like what I call the death wobble. The front wheels start shaking side to side. That is a symptom of a loose steering component or more likely bad king pin bushings. Check your spring bushings, tie rod ends and make sure the frame has not cracked around the...
Tow rig parking at Aberdeen
Hi gang, You don't see me here much anymore because I now have a M-151 so I am on the other forums. I have a question, I notice they have changed the layout and there is no parking anywhere that I can see. I can't get any info from The sponsor club. Do any of you...
RE: M1009 won
Mike, I can tell you that you need two fully charged and good condition batteries. If even one is a little off you will not get enough to start.

I had seen that done in Mexico about thirty some years ago, I guess it is still feasable today! Everybody wants everything right now, so this is slow, it is damn near free!

I have never been a big fan of Airco machines but any old machine will beat a new one hands down and it looks like you have a good one. I gave away an old, and I mean OLD, Miller barn box about fifteen years ago and have kicked myself ever since! That machine gave me the best welds of any stick...
Very nice work. Being a fabricator and welder myself I was originally going to say something about moisture getting into the laminate and spreading the plates but you have done a very nice job of welding and finishing. That is a LOT of grinding, What type of grinder and media are you useing and...
Again, check the fuel return line. If it was pinched when the tank was replaced it will shut the truck down. If you have good flow then the lift pump is good You should have no air at all in the bleed from the filter. Put the bleed line in a jar of fuel and watch for air, if you have air then...
Are you bleeding the filter from the drain on the bottom?? You need to use the air bleed on top of the filter assy. Also check all of your lines leading from the tank to the lift pump for kinks or cracks. Any air leak at all will give you a problem. Also ake sure the fuel return line is clear.

Yes, are they enforced, not usually. Usually it is to and from shows only, no night driving, no four wheeling. If you are not doing something stupid I don't think many cops are going to bother you.

Every year when I go there are probably 50 spots that are never used down by the highway end. I have seen people set up there on Sat when everyone is leaving. You know they did not pay for those spots.
Rick
I wish I had checked on here sooner. I e-mailed the club that runs it and like last year they did not reply. I checked the web sith ad it said completly sold out with the exception on 2 spots in the yellow section.
