Im adding a oil pressure gauge tommorrow and i am planning on taking the sending unit out and replace with the sensor from the oil pressure gauge are they any problems with doing that besides that the oil light will not work, but will the sensor hit anything or mess with the vehicles...

My volt meter in my m1009 does not work, when i turn the key to the lights come on and the neddle only goes to 15-16 volts which is wrong for sure does anybody have any ideas to look at or do i need a new volt meter? thanks
