    poppop,s M37 restore thread

Ohy Geeeezzzeeee.... I'm just going to quit working on mine, sell it, then buy yours. Fantastic work! Can't wait to see the paint.

How much is a good canvas for an M101 worth?

You won't get it from a retailer for $200 when he has brick and mortar to pay for. You have to get them from SSers who buy at auction or find other good deals and they buy several. This is the number I've seen, and used, for a couple of years now. About the same for the M105 cover. Some people...

    New Master Cylinder Leak

I replaced mine a few months ago. It sounds to me like the master cylinder was a rebuild rather then new and it didn't go well. I would just replace the M/C again and try it again. But yes, I did seal off the vent line. You don't need it once the full system is properly bled off.

No signal lights even after replacing lights and switch.

Yep, ground connections. And it gets even worse on grounding issues if you go to LEDs. Much worse... Assume nothing, disconnect all your grounds, wire brush them, grease then down with grounding conductive grease to prevent rust, and reattach.

    New guy from GA

Welcome from Perry, Ga. The M934 will make the GMC look like a toy car. Be sure to come to the Ga. Rally this October. It's always a Hoot!

    Georgia Steel Event in July?????????????

I'm clueless as to what we're even talking about here. What is Georgia Steel? Where? When? Is there a link that would describe it and what it's for?

    Rubber mudflaps

Go to Tractor Supply and look at their black rubber floor mats. They can be cut down to perfect size with a razor knife and others have reported they are heavy enough and work very well. I checked them out myself when I had a brand new old stock set, and it does seem very feasible, and might...

M1102 from Barstow to Sacramento. Logistic help!

Yes they can, and if you have a bad back, put some weight in it back of the tires. That will make the tongue even lighter. 1000 pounds lighter then the M105 and about the same as a M101, but in my experience, easier to handle by yourself. Results vary. Level concrete should be a breeze if the...

    poppop,s M37 restore thread

In the first set of pictures, it looks like the hood is pretty much OK, but I can't tell. I am not seeing it yet in your work. I picked one up from Ferro last week but it has a lot of broken fiberglass/bondo in it. Might be repairable. I also got some seats and springs. If you need either your...

    Divided by Zero

Yep, for a M105, that one is way cool!

I honestly love getting buzzed but give me some notice....

I've never been to Roswell, officially. I've been to White Sands missile range N. of El Paso. It's funny. Every Sunday, we have the F-15 test pilot fly south of us, turn on the afterburners and break the sound barrier as part of his test. It' routine. When we get visitors, they duck to the...

I honestly love getting buzzed but give me some notice....

You have Everything and then some at White Sands just N. of you. Some of the things you might see out there are not allowed to be photographed so be careful, depending on your location, of what you take a snapshot of. It's posted!

    GL/DRMO Trickledown effect

My preference is they sell the newer vehicles to the screened public, buy them back, upon need, for "National Security" purposes. Let the public use them, and provide the maintenance for them. Everybody wins. Probably better then sitting and having seals and steel sit and rot. In my opinion...

Oh i did it now!! Wifes gonna hate me for real this time!!!

I'm curious as to why a M35A2 would "shake you to death". I would want to investigate and fix that before dumping a bunch of money in it for a quad cab. An A3 can be kinda rough, but I have never had any issues with any of my A2's. And my 395s make the steering easier, rather than harder, but I...

More engine problems (Documentation of testing fuel system, failure of Hyd Head)

Wonder if Kenny has completed his next group buy on HH's. He was getting some good deals on them, but, some may not like the Chinese markings on them. I might want to pick up another. Anyway, he has a thread on here somewhere for a group buy of HH's.

Parallel operation of MEP-002A or MEP-003A, with video

Fantastic job. NOT for the novice. This kind of work can be very dangerous. Intelligence required. :3dAngus:

    Goldneagle's M109 (MDMORGAN CUSTOM) trailer recovery 2-16-2013

Just goes to show, those two do EVERYTHING together. One of SS's finest Green Couple (gone red). Congrats on the fine recovery GE.

Mysterious battery killing power drain solved

I would have just pulled the plug off the alternator, charged the battery, then plugged it back in after sitting a few days. If there was no loss of battery, you know it was the alternator. It could have been something else. There is a difference between a mechanic and an electrical tech...
