Hi everybody.
I've have a 1986 m1008 with a stock power train and I was wondering what I all I could feed it without hurting anything.
I will try just about anything as long as it doesn't hurt my motor.
Thanks
OK. When it gets below about 31 the engine will turn over normally for about 3or 4 revolutions then it won't turn over at all when I check the batteries with a charger it says they are about 50 percent each. But if I start it every day not matter how cold it is it starts like a brand new one. I...
That truck in the vid is epic.
Is there a way to make a whistler turbo stealthy?
I always ask impossible to answer questions. But sometimes I find out the answers
Ya I'm the same guy. I've never heard of either injection what is it?
The reason my truck wouldn't start was if it sat for 2 days below 32 ish it would wind over Like normal for about 3 revolutions and then the both batteries were on about 50 percent. I got a load tester coming should be here...
Its been a great truck the only things I've done to it besides changing the heater core do to old age is stuff I wanted to do like exhaust and changed a dirty air filter.
The truck does carry its self well and I did pull a 36,000 lbs weight sled at a truck pull over 200 ft. Is the price for a turbo is worth the gain in power?
Any advice is greatly appreciated
Thanks
I have a 86 m1008 and I was wondering if a turbo is worth the money on these trucks. All I have done to the motor is true dual 2.5 in exhaust with no mufflers and I put a new air filter on that was the same as stock and I ran a hose from the inlet to a hole in driver side fender sort of behind...
What about taking the barb fitting out of the water crossover and put a pipe nipple in it then a T fitting with the probe sticking into the flow of water/ coolant and in the last side of the T you use a barb fitting ie: the one you removed from the crossover and reattach the heater hose.
is a normal problem with these trucks? I've just never owned a diesel so if this is common I guess there is nothing to worry about..
All the advice y'all has offered up is greatly appreciated.
