In the sandbox we modified (personalized) our HMMWV's out of all recognition to any TM. Modifications were the way of adapting to a changing threat/environment and fun. Just because it is not military, doesn't mean it wasn't done or would have been done had an idea not been shared.

Same here. Been using the WalMart stuff and seems to be a good match, especially with older weathered paint like on my HMWWV

If your talking about my box being black, it is green, it just looks kind of black in the picture. Also from what I can see from your pics my model number on the case is the same as yours.

I hope I don't have a V1 kit. The items inside are identical to the pictures you posted and the tag on the outside of the case is the same. Here are two pics of my unit. No switches that I can see. Hopefully I have a V2 kit with old disks. Thanx

papakb, I said at the end of the post that the 1439's were OK because of the lack of crypto modules. I was referencing my 1523 when I talked about the crypto mods being removed. And like I said..In my case, I just wanted it for my retirement toy, no practical reason required. :)

Not a unusual thing to do, but got the Airlift and Rhino on after a year collecting parts. I'm glad to finally get it on, I'm getting too old to be lifting 170 lbs of tire that high into the back. Still looking for the tie down/ tow loops, driver side winch mount and driver side fuel can mount.
