    WWII 1/4 ton trailer

4'-5'? ;-) Wow, you must be a fisherman. According to MS 500069 the center of an M416 lunette is 31" from the front wall of the tub. The center of this one is 28.5" from the front wall of the tub. Close enough for my budget (the only thing I bought was new grade 8 hardware.

Deuce vs. Pine Tree or not?

A properly maintained and operated deuce winch can not break itself. I have winched over 12 (yes, I keep scorerofl) trees upwards of 75' tall, 3 of which were easily 2' in diameter, and have had great success... -winching the tree down in one direction (I have used up to a 4 part line and...

    Purpose of wood bed spacer

If I were going to replace the sill with something other than wood I would look at the composite decking available at places like home depot/ lowes. FWIW I was going to use some for a different purpose and the local Home Depot refused to cut it on their saw. When I pointed to the sign that...

Will M105 fit up well to my M35 if the Deuce has 46" tires?

FWIW my truck's tires measure 44" and the a m105 is nose down a little when unloaded. YMMV The most I would do is put 1100s on it

    deuce wheel stud

grrrrrr. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. I did a walk around yesterday before I drove the truck about 25 miles and I had all 36 studs/lug nuts this is what I found today. The break looks like it happened at once all of the exposed metal is bright with no sign of rust. I inspected all of the brakes/...

    WWII 1/4 ton trailer

I unbolted the left front spring hanger and uncovered the ACM number stamped into the frame. It appears to read 41030 (but the "1" is inverted)

    singling out a deuce

to track the same, you need to "flip" the rear hubs. M35 DUALS TO SINGLES CONVERSION (BTW the front and rear wheels are the same on a M35a2)

    WWII 1/4 ton trailer

I mocked up my completely incorrect, but bolt in lunette/mount. The lower mount is 1/4" plate (just tacked together for now), and the upper mount/lunette is from one of the small shelter dollies.

    Flipping headlights

I have Hella E-codes mounted in the high position, and would highly reccomend it. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce-modification-hot-rodding/19973-deuce-lighting-harness-upgrade.html

Which trailer should I get? How do they compare to comerical?

really? I mean, really? just out of morbid curiosity... what is a town car rated to tow? The m105 (2.5ton) run of the mill cargo trailer meant to be towed behind a deuce weighs 2700# empty and has air brakes. The m101(3/4ton) would work behind a suburban and would likely have...

    WWII 1/4 ton trailer

sometimes rednecks cancel each other out May an anvil fall ftom the sky and land on the next guy who says "its just an old army trailer" as he fires up his welder. The hard part of removing that monstrosity is over. I plan on leaving the extra cross brace until I have finished making up a...
