Hopefully, this will be the first event of many for the OKC area members. Other convoys, parades, rallies, and community service projects may follow. Tentative...

Rumor or Not - GL getting ready to Close some outlets

Yep, OKC will be one of the national off-base warehouses, about 400,000 SF. They are hiring 30+ workers right now. Warehouse will be for indoor, palletized stuff only. No trucks/vehicles.

    Hooks tx m818s

I have towed tandem a few times. It can be done, but that is a big load when using the same sized tow vehicle. I prefer to have a larger vehicle to tow with. When I had 2 bridge trucks to tow, I pulled them 300 miles with a M911 no problem. If you do it, be sure to hook up the brakes. It...

    CUCV government auction

Welcome to Steelsoldiers. The M1009 is a fun MV to have. I use mine for all the time. Good luck with a purchase. You might want to contact a local member to look those over for you because I'm not sure you will get one for under $1500. Could be a wasted trip to Missouri. Also remember 10%...

    dump truck?

You might also look for a M917/M918 dump if you want a 6x6(can't remember the #). If you are ambitious, try a M911 with Crysteel PLS Dump Bed. :-D

    816 vs 936A2

Sounds like a new project truck in the works. :-D Better trade off that M818 real soon too!

    816 vs 936A2

With your elevation in C Springs, maybe the turbo on the M926A2 would be even more beneficial? I know Madsam has reported about significant power loss on the NHC-250 up in those Rockies.

    816 vs 936A2

The M936A2 is clearly a superior choice over the M816. But you might need to consider your intended application for the wrecker. Most of the time, my M816 is used around the yard as a crane. I could use a M543 multifuel wrecker and be happy. I have towed vehicles up to 60,000# with my M816...
