You want to remove the whole plate, although if I remember correctly there *might* be one allen head screw underneath the seatbelt retractor.
-Use lots of penetrating oil
-Use a quality allen bit on a rachet wrench for more leverage

I used 1/2" hex bolts and washers for the through holes, and 3/8" bolts for the hinge holes.
Use quality grade 8 fasteners and antiseize for anything that goes in a threaded hole in case you ever want to be able to remove it.
More progress on the 50. Got the grips installed, charging handle installed, and a fresh coat of paint.
Next step is to make a reproduction barrel. Right now I have a real barrel which probably weighs 40 pounds. It makes me nervous driving around with that heavy barrel supported by 3D printing...

Side panels are aluminum, barrel is real, the T&E and pintle are real. Everything else is 3D printed plastic.
The side plates are made substantially different than a real gun, so that they cannot be assembled with real M2HB parts and make a functional gun. I'm considering selling these...
True, but it might not matter. The pump is really screaming at 3000+ RPM. Maybe lower RPM would even reduce wear. Even a 20% reduction would make it quieter and probably not have a noticable impact on performance.
