I would think pine is ok for a trailer.... I would worry about using it for troop seats because of the span between bracket's ... Hard wood ism`t cheep , I`ve been looking at home depot and lowes ... Good luck !!

Just make sure you check the cab mounts & the door post !!! Make sure everything is good and solid so the door hang square.........New doors make a Big differance.... :beer:

Welcome !!! I too am a GMC nut (1952 XM211 W/W ) memphis equipment had driver side backs & bottoms on ebay.....I got a nos back for my truck...perfect match to my original bottom.....would you have a good gas tank ???

Back in the late 70`s GM had a safari package that had an out side tire rack on a tan or brown or bouth on the K5`s..
