I just put 2 new Deka 6TMF batteries in my deuce... list price is around $200, I got mine for $160 a pop. I thought about doing car batteries myself, but they arent built to the same spec as the stock batteries. The way my deuce shakes, rattles and vibrates I wanted something heavy duty that...
Mine is also tempermental shifting from 1st gear to 2nd gear. It's tough going in... compared to other trucks I have driven (Mack granite 10 yd mixer w/10 LL, International 10 yd mixer w/13 sp road ranger, International 10 ton dump with spicer 5 spd DD). If on flat, I start normal...

Let me know if you need a hand this weekend.... or if not a hand, i'll sit on a cooler and drink coffee in the morning and beer in the afternoon; a distraction is good every now and again!

I would put a socket and breaker bar on the crankshaft pulley, see if the motor turns. If you can't get it to move by hand i'd say you crapped a bearing / locked it up / or something of the sort... If it does turn, it could possibly be in the tranny or transfer case.

Thank you much hdexpert. From you it sounds like they are decent people; I"m glad to hear.... I didn't want some knucklehead kicking and throwing my new radiators around! I should be good for my pickup; if I run into any debauckle I'll give you a shout! THanks again
Anyone had a pickup at the Lockbourne, OH facility. I just won 3 deuce radiators; curious on what the operation is like there. This is my first pickup there.....
Thank you all very much for the fast info! A local rad shop (decent people) quoted me 100 bucks to boil, test and repair it. He was curious as to the size to rebuild it... this should be interesting...
I am looking to get a price on getting my deuce radiator re-cored, but I don't have my deuce here to get some dimensions off of it.
Does anyone have the dimensions/specs of our radiator handy?
Height
Width
Thickness
Thanks a bunch!
Brian
