    Got another Deuce! ('70)

Finished trans swap Sat. night, took the '70 on it's and my first trip of any length today, 30 miles round trip. Previously only drove my beaters around the yard and the 70 around town a little yesterday. You don't really realize how hot, slow, and loud they are until you drive one a bit. We...

Why do the Hydraulic Head clips fall off.

ATF in the fuel should help I think. Adds lubrication and removes deposits. New diesel is probably too "dry". It's said such is the case for older 5.9 cummins engines...and these are much older.

    M35A2 Charging system questions

Patience. Heat slightly. Soak it with Kroil, or acetone and trans fluid 50/50 mix for a few days. Put an allen insert in it and tap it lightly for a good long while. If you can get a 3/8" air or electric impact, turn the power way down and just let it tap away at it. A few cycles of...

    M35A2 Charging system questions

I *think* 12v alts usually charge up to 14.4, and batts take up to 13.8...so yeah makes sense. Here's the pic from the 5 ton link I posted above. I'm going to bump mine up and do some more tests. (At batts, etc.) I wonder if putting out more voltage makes the alternator produce more heat and...

    My newest turd: Jeepsinker's M49A2

Clinto, my '62 has a genny on its LDS, Delco reg on the firewall. A2 fenders. Believe it was an A1 originally. JS, cool truck. I might turn one of my extras into a semi original military looking tanker for watering the yard at the shop.
