    1965 W300 Crew Cab.

The ad is from March of 2004. Is it really still for sale? Otherwise someone is not pulling ads off of their site. Beyond that, it is an interesting vehicle. The roof hit seems like a PIA to fix. Is that a crack in the floor by the transmission? If so, it requires an explanation. But all the...

    who really pushes there CUCV's?

I had a 72 Jimmy that i pushed pretty hard and it had a straight six w/4spd/205. It was an excellent drivetrain that I never had to worry about the 6 ripping up. Headers really woke up the 6 as well. Unfortunately, its age and rust was it's demise. The roof became a VERY important part of the...

    Looking at a Unimog

I have a '62 404 ambulance. Everything is straight forward in terms of understanding how it all works. Parts are around. performance ones also. The 404 is good for about 50mph. Any higher than that is asking a lot for the transmission. The engine has no problem with it, but the transmission at...

    Need help finding.....

You just need to figure out how much current you are using and then add in a safety factor of 25-50%. Lights are often relay switched to keep the heavy current under the hood and then the switches can be smaller as they are only running enough current to operate the relay.

Ham Radio Operators / Steel Soldiers

RE: Ham Radio Doghead, indeed there is a hambook for dummies. I have not read it, but it is out there somewhere. I would recommend checking the library @ www.arrl.org With this group, you can find a local radio club to provide exams and other advice. It helps to have an "elmer" a fellow who...
