    Deuce in flood

Note to remember when fording in a Deuce. Your Feet get wet. Have the ability to put the manuals and stuff under my seats in a dry box. Hmm Big 20mm ammo cans for that stuff I guess eh?

    Deuce in flood

What's he gonna do, swim over there and climb up out of the water onto the truck and arrest you there? Or after you drag him and his little squad car out of the huge fugging lake?

    trailer with tracks?

Those trailers can be pulled behind a M113 to carry a MICLIC forwards. Lower ground pressure helps get the lone charge forwards when towed behind an engineer track for a breeching operation.

    More efficient Deuce..?

1100x20 tires allow higher speeds or good sustained speeds at lower rpms. Front lockout hubs allow the front wheels to spin and not spin the axle A rear lockout hub and half shaft allow you to unlock the rear axles.

    Watermark - Decision

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Watermark - Decision Small point mike, but if you allowed the use of the img tag, then some images wouldn't be hosted on Steel soldiers and take up your bandwidth.

    Trailer Wiring for Deuce

Voltage converter box in the bed. Relays to function your tail lights. Plug into the 12 pin on the deuce, connect the trailer plug to the box. If you need electrical brakes, you can set it up in the box to do the same but size up the DC-DC converter to handle the load from the brake controller.

    Rods In a Pouch

RE: cover Well, it would also keep the rain off AND you can fab up some more canvas bits to extend the sides down further. Attach it at the top with some web straps, make some sides that you can roll down and fasten. I suppose you could also make up some shorter poles to allow you to just lower...

    Buffalo sighting south from Wisconsin?

The couger is smaller than the buffalo and thats what those look like. There's a 4x4 and a 6x6 Couger. Looks like they'll be getting reactive armor from Israel (RAFAEL).

    Georgia Rally Accommodations

Primitive would be fine with me. I don't have a lot of my camping kit. It's all up with the Deuce. Any chance someone has a spare cot I can borrow? I need to pick up an M1945 CP tent on my way down.

    S.S. Ga Ralley?

ahhh. That's so frustrating. I reassembled the slave cylinder on the ferret this weekend and went to bleed the brakes out and apparently I have a leak in the brake line that goes UNDER the transfer box. On a conventional vehicle, this wouldn't be too big of a deal. But on a Ferret, it's a huge...

What are his prices like for 5 ton trucks?

    Winch Spec's and rear pull...

A lot of british trucks have/had winches that were mounted in the center under the bed. There are fairleads to run to the front or rear of the vehicle and pulleys to allow for side pulls from either position. What's really neat are on the FATS (field artillery tractors) and other winch...

Please help, HMMWV Trailer light/power conversion

Scout, if you're in the army, you need to go the motor pool and get them to make you an adaptor box/cable for your 12 pin cable to a civilian 7 pin cable. I pull a civilian trailer that I changed the bulbs to 24 volts on and added a second power lead from the truck to supply 12 volts to the...

help please with diesel generator add-on advice

Re: RE: Ok then... The ones I know of are missing 1/2 of their legs. They are pretty large though. They also have some demountable bases made up of lattice frame tube (not sure if they were AL or Steel). Bascially it was so you could take the radar set off the trailer. The TM is...

    lunette size

3" is what you want. If you have the standard size 4 bolt flange you can get one from Northern Tool or perhaps better from Wallace Forge. That's where I got my replacement ring I had welded onto the unusual 4 bolt plate I had.

    The '07 Ga./Southern Rally-details/signup here

Ron, I looked at that and the cut up to 400 is a touch out of my way. Taking Buford highway is almost a straight shot and I can take slower surface streets so the ferret's not spinning it's bearings/seals all at super high speeds. Final reduction on these things is in the wheel hubs themselves.

    Tool trailer

One of my M514 trailers would work very well for that and they're configurable with a 4 position lunette eye. I had been thinking about a camping support trailer for the second one but a tool trailer would be interesting too.

    The '07 Ga./Southern Rally-details/signup here

Looking at the map, I am most likely to drive up Buford Highway all the way to Gainesville and from there up SR 129 to cleveland and then SR75 to Helen. Anyone want to convoy up?
