    How many M715's are there?

My M725 had a plywood door, as far as I can tell it's factory. The manual showed an identical door, I see no reason to believe it's not the real deal.

M7 Generator trailer. My first piece of WWII Green Iron

I've seen period photos of those trailers with road tires on them. The road tires are $250-300 in price, NDT tires are around $360 ea. It's expensive, but a restoration for show would require them eventually. Nice trailer! They are getting harder to find in nice shape, I've seen some...

Have you ever made a soldier cry?

I've had Vietnam vets get a tear in their eye when they saw my display at the Gilbert PA show past few years. Always great to get a good emotional reaction for your efforts to preserve their history and honor them in the process.

    We lost out today guys!

I would've given him $500 for that. And I'm sure some here would've outbid me. Maybe next time.... To paraphrase a movie quote I remember, we save what we can and the wolves get the rest. This is why it's so important to save what we all can, whenever we can. To save it for future...

    7/14/12 Breakfast in Eldersburg, Maryland

I may be bringing some Hardigg cases to see if someone would like to give a new home for them. They are too big for me to list on eBay and they are taking up room in my shed so maybe someone there will purchase a couple of my "orphans".

    F-35B on the USS Wasp..

In Vietnam, we had air supremacy, we had state-of-the-art weapons, we had high-tech of the day coming out our ears. We used SE Asia as a testbed for every new combat device idea we could come up with, and in the end we were losing the war against an enemy that for the most part, couldn't read...

    m-715 floor pans

Last I heard, they were in business, but had no website. If that's so, it's the first business I've heard of that refused to join the late 20th century. They do, however, make good stuff, I bought M715 floor pans off them in 2007 for my old M725 ambulance. Good stuff...

    F-35B on the USS Wasp..

I agree, WM. In a way, I respect the Russians and the Chinese in their military preparations. If we ever got into a conventional war with them (non nuclear, biological or chemical warfare), we'd have our asses handed to us. They have more than enough conventional munitions and old-tech...

    F-35B on the USS Wasp..

Newfangled, high-dollar FUBAR magnet. Thing costs between $197 and $234 million EACH, depending on the package you want. I think the defense contractors in DC have lost their collective marbles with the price tags, believe you me. It's a neat toy, it really is. And all it will take is a...

    Oshkosh HMMWV upgraded suspension TAK-4

Anyone see this? Upgraded suspension package called the TAK-4 that Oshkosh is fitting to Marine Corps HMMWVs recently. Not sure if this kit is available surplus yet, but it sure looks tough! Picture: stock HMMWV on left, HMMWV with TAK-4 suspension on right.
