What is a good Snatch block to use with a m818 and 20k PTO winch?

Best to have one with the sheave groove size, rated for the size line that you'll be using. 5/8" groove, for 5/8" line. At any rate, it doesn't take much of a winch job with snatch blocks, that after you've set up the pulls, two or three times, using most of the winches capacity & dragging the...

    Are my tires mounted backwards?

They're radials. I've read somewhere that your not supposed to change the direction of rotation. Is that correct? That's why I ask what the thinking was in terms of rotation. Does one just rotate the steering, side to side, or pull one out of the tandem group to exchange on the steering...

    Are my tires mounted backwards?

I don't think so. What do you have in mind for rotating? If you change sides, then I think its backwards.

    Winch cable tail chain?

Be sure to get two -- nothing handier.

    Winch cable tail chain?

Tail chains are an essential part of a winch & winching operations. But more often then not, especially on the electric winches, they're never seen. Its always nice to hook into a D-ring or shackle, but that's seldom the case, in the woods.

    Mep 803 exhaust pipe/extension

I would sure use regular exhaust pipe for your extension. Schedule 40 water pipe is real heavy, especially when you start adding fittings like a union. Your Genney may be much smoother then my trusty MEP003, but it still shakes some, especially on start up or shut down. I used the 2 hole...

T98 Gearbox shift lever removal help

The ones that I'm familiar, with in old Internationals, has a domed cap that fits over the shifter. Unscrew it & then you can lift out the shifter with the threaded cap. There is a short pin that the cap retains & slides into a notch on the shift lever ball (to keep it from rotating). Use...

M116A3 Trailer, HMMWV Command Shelter & Rooftop Tent camper build…

The master cylinder is commonly used in Forklifts/Lift Trucks. I think I paid $42 for the last one, including the ride.

    Cross Country in a Deuce!

If you don't have one.... I put a cigar lighter in the dash. Use it to charge your cell or GPS. Check, but all the chargers I see will handle 24V, if you read the fine print on the charger.

AIr system leak, Rear gladhand this time

Sounds like a "quick-release" valve sticking open or closed. When brakes are applied (any brakes - service or parking), the air must be dumped rapidly, to release them. Back track that glad hand line, till you find it.

    New to me M101A2

One can pick & choose different trailer features, but overall, I'm like swiss (above), the M101A2 has it mostly. My only modification are LED lights that allow going from Deuce to Toyota.... just hitch & go. Uncle Sam put a lot of thought into it - keep the shocks. Sounds like general...

    Deep water Fording kit usefulness

The only reason that I would have a DWF is because it looks cool! I don't want anything to do with that "swim action" stuff. I once crossed a respectable river on the Stampede Trail, OK, (Civi 4x4), on the way in. Broke an axle, (front), so chained up (summer time) for way out. Still spun...

    Headlights

The H4 replacement ends should do the job. I didn't know about the ceramic end. Be sure to use some dielectric grease on the joints. Bad connections generate resistance/heat.

    Headlights

Most "over the road" truck stores carry Hella products, with increased wattage bulbs available. They usually have available, a flat faced bulb housing lenses, with excellent high "cut-off", so the higher wattage bulbs don't annoy on-coming traffic as bad. I used the wire lead ends, w/numbered...

    A deuce tent

I've done my share of tent camping - both in mobile tents, but in a M101A2 (my idea of a camper), & white wall tents, As for heat where you had room as in a Deuce, have a Tent & Awning Co. sew in one of those heat proof stove pipe holes. They even come with a rain proof cover, when not in use...

    M35 tires

Lock-ring 20" wheels are obsolete. The 900x20 NDT's are a biased ply tire - also obsolete. As stated, you can find enough NDT's at modest "take off prices, to keep you in tires. I have driven them all over the North. Its about impossible to find 900x20 radials. I need 4 more & still...

    Supplemental Electric Air Compressor

Very nice work. Not at all to be critical, but an observation that I have been guilty of. Its possible to run about any truck out of air. Even those fitted with oversize compressors & extra storage. There can be several reasons responsible: Your vehicle is not running anywhere near rated...
