Howdy ya'll, I have been wanting a Duece for 3 years now, and after getting rid of a few expensive habits, (Including dumping a girl friend and switching to using only my street bike for transportation) I have been bidding in places like barstow and french camp mostly, but I need to figure out a...
I have a silly question, why was this not done from the factory?
Also, can someone tell me how the "Fording kit" worked in regard to these venting tubes?
So, OP. As a young, dumb kid, I have to ask you. If you were going to run WMO, would you say the stock pump is good for this? Or do you feel that an aftermarket would be more effective?
Excuse my ignorance, how on earth does a governor on a diesel work?
I saw the vid and also thought he was revving the crud out of it, but I have VERY limited experience with one of these.
Just..... ****.... Im still trying to find funds to join the cool deuce owners club, so I had to ask, why was the windshield wet on both sides? Just lack of defrosters?
I recently got to drive another members truck, his screen name is srodocker. I tell you, it was all I could do to resist posting my own thread. I cant wait to get my own now!
I just asked to ride shotgun, and he offered me the pilots chair :) I was happier than a clam!
My basic plan for the CUCV to run any alternative fuels would be based around the idea of not lessening reliability, if my truck was to fail me during a shift, I can loose standing with the boss. I have to know that it will start, every time.
-I would need a filteration system that is...
Howdy yall, I am a pizza delivery driver for Papa Johns (Used to be domino's, need to change the avatar) and I have thought for a long time that a CUCV would be epic for pizza delivery. Now, originally I figured I would run veggie oil or bio diesel (still not 100% sure the difference) but now I...
I spent all day searching on GL, just clicking on all the epically cool trucks, all I got was a bunch of dirty looks from the GF as I looked at all the cool rigs, some amazing tech! I started at the deuces, and moved down to the 5 tons, and then the 5 ton wreckers... and discovered that they...
I have been delivering for over 3 years now, and actualy deffected from domino's to papa johns. Just the other night I made $40 in only 5 delivery's, plus my hourly. I think its fun most nights, just hate most of the people that end up being managers in pizza places.... definitely the cream of...
Really? The only time I have been up close and personal with a deuce was at basic. There is a large pizza and a bit of gas money in it to take me for a ride in the beast.
Rofl, my C20 has trailer towing mirrors on it, and is my delivery rig every day (for over a year now) and the parking spaces are actually not as wide as the mirrors! just the other day I got bitched out by my co worker for parking to close to his top dollar Kia. (/sarcasm) He felt stupid when...
Im sure your correct, but its such a fun idea! I just cant help but picture my boss's face when I drove up in a deuce :)
Even still, anyone near Tacoma want to go for a joy ride? Never ridden in the front of a deuce... :)
I know exactly what you mean. The less she wants to drive it, the more I want to own it....
So far she has killed two jeeps and a buick, now she has her eyes in my Chevy....
Just wondering how much yall paid, and what kind of shape it was in. Sadly I cant really buy one yet... not practical living in a downtown apartment.... Parking would be a female dog in heat.
I have frequently day dreamed about how much fun it would be to deliver pizza in a Deuce. Just for the...
Well, I have been without internet the last few days, but I appreciate the heads up! I think I will pass on the Barstow truck for now, and keep looking. I really am hunting for a nice body that doesnt need painted. Painting scares me, but fixing mechanical aspects is fun, so camo is a must...
I have a co worker who runs vegi oil in his old Mercedes, apparently he routed the fuel lines so they were coiled around the exhaust. It worked well for him apparently, he delivers pizza in it everyday :)
