The parade is at 10 am.
And Yes, Mtnrebel, we did this parade last year with a white deuce. I will have the same elderly couple with me and will probably convoy from Brandon's about 9:15.
Hope to see you.
Anybody in the area looking for good smalltown America Parade - this is it. I just found out tonight the parade is Saturday, not clear on the time - will find out in the morning and update.
I'll be there with my 2 teenage boys. The Deuce will probably pull the M353 for the boys' 4-wheelers. Plan to camp in the truck.
I have ammo cans and large .50 cal gun cases/job boxes/coffins to bring for sale.
I have sawhorses and 2X4's and chairs. Will try to find some plywood .
Who's...
Have you ever wanted more secure storage in your Deuce? I got a win from Ft. Bragg of military gun cases for a .50 caliber. This case fits perfectly in the back of my Deuce. I knocked out a few of the posts that cradled the original gun to make better room for tools. Great improvement over...
AMGeneral and I were talking Thursday about postponing this event. Unless we get a sudden surge of interest, consider the rally postponed until...??
Maybe we can plan it better around other events next time.
They sure look good. A match made in Heaven.
In 2 years my son will be graduating from the Air Force Academy. It's way too far to drive my Deuce - 1500 miles - but I plan to be out there most of that week; maybe we can get together and give rides or something to some of the grads in my sons...
Shannon,
I'll be there with ammo trailer unless it's a real washout. A little rain won't hurt the Deuce too much.
I plan to drive the deuce to work and leave from there. Should be at the stadium bu 1700.
Weather permitting, we are planning on having a few MV's at the Valdese, NC cruise-in this Friday night. Sorry for the short notice; we just got it organized.
The last picture is to show how close I had to get to the neighbor's house when backing into my friend's backyard. The neighbor was very gracious; even helped carry the shed off the trailer.
Got to use the M1061A1 laundry trailer today to move a 10'X13' metal shed. A friend from church was given this shed but didn't want to have to take it apart. He knew I had a Deuce, so he asked me if I had a trailer that would move this shed. Do I have a trailer he asks? He doesn't know me...
The Hickory Crawdad Baseball Team is doing the annual Salute to Vets on May 21. The team won't be home for Memorial Day.
The US Army is scheduled to do something - I forget what. Weather permitting there will be a guy exhibiting his WWI and WWII equipment. And we hope to have a few...
Good point Gimpy. I don't anticipate even approaching the rated GVW of 10000+ lbs. However, Brandon is close enough, I'll swipe a couple 1100's if the need arises.
