Hello Carpenter,
Thank you for the reply and the offer. I understand.
And you want pics of what? of the new shocks after I install them?
ChevyCUCV, 19? I do not think I have one of those.
I tried a 7/8" socket on the bottom nuts on both rear shocks,
it fit fine, but it was too small for...
Hi guys,
Do any of you have a portable air wrench and the
proper sockets I can borrow,Just long enough for me to
remove the old shocks, and install the new shocks
I just got for my M1009.
I finally bought a set of four shocks.
And the tools I have are not adequate to do the job.
Any...
Hello Scott,
Sorry to hear that.
A big help for all of us here to help you find it, would be photos.
Do you have any recent photos of it?
Also,
What is the trailers license plate number? etc.
Good luck,
Hello CPF,
Thank you for answering my question. I got it now.
Hmmm, perhaps I should do that with my M1009 too.
Are there any disadvantages to doing this mod?
Hi guys,
My apologies, I do not mean to hijack someones thread but, I do have a question...
What is the point of bypassing the glowplug resistor in the first place?
Thanks guys for the information.
I saw an ad in the local classifieds, someone was just giving it away,
20 gallons, in plastic drum, with electric siphon pump included.
Sounded like a decent deal even if the fuel was bad, that drum
and pump may have come in handy some day.
No worries...
Welcome Carpenter,
From a fellow CUCV owner and Georgia neighbor, mine is a 1985 M1009.
Let me know if I can ever be of assistance.
By the way, nice truck. Looks good.
Welcome to Steel Soldiers from a fellow M1009 Owner down here in Atlanta, Ga.
Let me know if I can ever be of assistance, or to answer questions.
Also, do NOT worry about not having photos, dodging those tornadoes and
saving your life IS more important.
Hello,
I found the page, you mentioned.
But it does not tell me how to fix it if the lock cylinder comes out.
But from the diagram I am thinking maybe one of the "clip" parts may have broken
or came out somewhere, that is meant to retain it, maybe. That is my theory.
Thank you,
Hi guys,
I just had a new issue pop up with my 1009.
When I put the key into the lock on the crank handle it turns,
but no matter what direction I turn it, it will not lock,
or the lock cylinder comes out stuck to the key.
I cannot lock the window, to prevent someone from rolling down...
Too bad I cannot afford to eat there.. Or else I would go.
BUT if I get called into work tomorrow, I will stop by on the way to or from work.
Since where I work is just about a half block away from there on that street.
Have fun guys..
That is a shame, THAT much time, money & effort to move a rock, the project, etc.
When there are many homeless people out there, that really need help.
All that just for the sake of some un-necessary art project.
Swiss,
True, but there is an MV spotted thread already going here is'nt there?
Where details of sightings are posted.
If such a thread is a problem, then the moderators should delete it.
