May be coming down for my first GA rally, but if I do it will be in a civvy vehicle. Even then it will cost $300 or so in gas just to go to it, so it's still up in the air right now. ferro said that if I go, he'll have an extra MV for me to drive at the rally.
ferro - I promise I won't...
I'd say $3500 is a little high for a plain jane deuce with no bed, and the gas motor. I'd say $2500 if everything works well and no problems. My two cents....
I would find it hard to believe that the military would buy "water purification units" that weren't capable of making water pure enough to drink. I'm sure if the units are in good working order, that the water coming out of them should be 100% good for your use.
vinny-socom1: if I see the pile of them there again, I'll snag as many as I can.
54reo: Will see what he has. I know he has piles of MEP-002s and -003s in the yard, and older gas stuff, but I don't remember any large gensets laying around.
Recovry4x4: I think there was one M1010 ambulance...
I got rid of a couch behind the local Home Depot that way once. My passenger, and the guy who I was getting rid of the couch for, was laughing hysterically for 10 minutes because he didn't know I was going to do that. He actually thought I was going to pay $20 at the dump to get rid of it. :)...
For your drooling pleasure, here are the threads with pics I've posted from Colemans in the past...

stoney - what parts you need? If I see them laying around the yard I can pull parts....
John Shipley - the last M43 ambulance there was scrapped about 5 years ago, there wasn't much left of it, it was a rust ball. There are a few M880s, some CUCVs, deuces, and lots of trailers there for parts...
I've seen that picture of the deuce before. I can't remember where, or who took it, but that deuce is not a stranger to SS. All I'm saying is I've seen that camper deuce before...
CUCVs aren't really old enough to be "collectable" as far as originality is concerned. I've seen CUCVs that were modified to ****, and brought bigger $$$ than stock ones, as long as the mods were well done and are desirable from a user standpoint. I say swap the doors if you want them, don't...
BTT for air. Love to see more of this truck and its progress...not to mention I'd love to see a video of it driving!
Bet it would be pretty great offroad as well...
If he has the receipts to back up the $30K investment, I bet he did. And I also got a bridge to sell him.
Like I said - camping trailer bring big money...but not this big. And in this economy? He'll be hoping for a buyer for a LONG LONG time.
I mentioned to Cabell that, due to the recent storm that blew through and messed up all the trees in the Eastern U.S., that it might behoove us to have one work weekend prior to the event, just to send folks into the woods with chain saws and make sure all the trails are good to go. If anyone...
