That's a nice truck you got there, even if it's an amalgamation of parts from two trucks. I'd snag one of those winch bumpers, look very beefy and probably will work well for you....
If I had the money, and I don't, I'd make a round trip of the United States just to see places like that. Yellowstone AND Grand Teton? Wow, that's some great camping and scenic views there!
Driving my deuce BY ITSELF through WV on I-64/77 was fine. No problems in fifth gear, maybe touching the brakes once or twice. When towing the M-37 behind the deuce, or a load like a heavy trailer or a lot of cargo in the back, I highly recommend downshifting into fourth gear for the trip...
Be safe. That is a load and a half - I had trouble keeping my deuce with a M37 in tow in control coming down some of the big mountains on I-64 in WV. The M37 was pushing me down the hill and by the time I hit the bottom, my brakes smelled bad.
Like I said, be safe.
Colemans had a pile of M101 trailers that were set up by the Army as antenna trailers for radio trucks. They had the gas can racks mounted inside at the front end of the trailer.
OMG he did it with a Carryall as well?!? It looks like a ghetto Bentley now! Is he going to cut up and pimp out a Command Car next?
MVs should stay green. Well, for the most part. I don't doubt he does great work, but WOW. I mean, WOW.
Wow....that's, uhhhh....
I don't think anyone who served with those trucks ever envisioned how...uh...different it could be made.
Sorry. There's a good word to describe this truck. It's three letters long, starts with "G" and rhymes with RAY.
Sad end to a neat truck. BUT, there are still some good parts on there to keep others running: doors, rear axle, bumperettes, wheel rims, spring packs, etc.
I can answer these for him, I saw his truck last week at his place.
He made the safari rack himself, welded it up and painted it. And yes, he can put the rear roof back on with the safari rack installed. It's a neat design, very creative. Won't help much in a rollover, but let's hope he...
They do - they have roughly the same cargo capacity as the 105, but since they are lower to the ground it's easier to load heavy stuff in it. I actually like the 332 better. Shouldn't be too hard to find someone in NC who wants to trade.
Here's a unique one. Guy wanted a M715 that had a rusted out cab fixed up, but made to haul more people. Uses a M715 frame, front clip and half the rear pickup bed, but replaced the cab with most of a Wagoneer cab. Very cool....
Most gun rings are demilled or removed prior to you picking the truck up. There is a lot of scrap armor plating on GL now that includes piles of gun rings and I bet you have to cut them into fist-sized chunks of steel before you remove the lot. If you're lucky enough to get the truck without...
Oh we gotta see pics of that! Sorry you lost the hardtop, but softtops are great because you can stay warm in the winter or rip it off and enjoy your "convertible" in the summer. I always like the soft tops, myself.
Glad you got home relatively safely...
