m35's are big and slow, if you want more speed or hp you need a diffrent truck i do agree check your filters, they will rob alot of power if they are blocked

get some brake kleen, it should clean those brake shoes well enough to use for a while you might not have 100% brakes but it should get you back to 90% or so be carefull that stuff is nasty and will strip paint off use your best judgement, if they look too soaked replace them

MMO is a good product it seems to keep the gaskets supple and the jets clear in carburators as maddawg said it is really good for breaking old engines free its been around since 1923 so they must be doing something right
