    Tis the season

I haven't posted on SS for a while now, because I've been busy enjoying my M1009. But I wanted to show you the Christmas wreath I made to go on the front of my CUCV. Instead of buying a cheap fake one, I made (wrapped) one out of 25ft of pine garland. Then I wrapped a set of lights...

    m105 camper

Do a M109 or S280 shelter on a M756 or M1061 trailer and be done with it. Enough room for sleeping, cooking, bathroom, and storage of tools and parts. There's plenty more room for water and waste tanks, and a generator too.

    m1008 at work in flood

The first picture shows the slab I was crossing over the Cahaba river. The second is a picture from my M1009 CUCV to a friend's Landcruiser which was lifted and on 33's. The water was MUCH higher than I anticipated and at the deepest part was about 24-30" deep. The current was pushing us...

I heard a SNAP and got that sudden sinking feeling!

I had an idea that someone could take that synthetic decking material from Lowes and make a killer set of bows, bench seating, and railing. It'd never splinter or rot, and it cuts like wood unlike fiberglass. And I think it comes in OD green.

    Odd M1009 Charging issue

Good luck with your alternator issues. I just started having some problems with mine as well. It starts just fine, but when I'm traveling down the road at a steady speed, the 1 & 2 lights go on and off, and the battery indicator moves back and forth from the middle of yellow and green up into...

Enterprise, AL was saved by the switch to peanuts from cotton. It's kind of a big deal. :-D

    we got tunes!

Lose weight  You can remove some of the padding from the seat or find a way to lower it. It's the height for me that puts my belly into the steering wheel. BTW, Don't forget to play some "Long cool woman in a black dress" too! Looks good man, I really miss that truck! How many...
