Trying to save my friend some unneeded drama and expense!

Couple problems with them being used as "Headlights", is that they do not offer a Hi/Low beam and there is no mention of their DOT legality. Since the call them work-lights/off-road lights, they are skirting the law that way. Good looking out for alternatives though....Here is some California...

M813 is more of a WORK truck and is sturdier in ROUGH use, the M923 is more of a driver truck and has some weak tendencies if used roughly or incorrectly. The M923 WILL NOT tolerate being put in reverse in low, to back out of a situation, it will break the transfer case, seen many of these...

Depending on the date is weather i can make it, I am running a company in Colorado so i have been traveling quite a bit.......I will stay tuned!
