I'm with JT and Clinto on this one. I have to slip my clutch too much for comfort to start my Deuce out in second. But I've also done what m35a2cowner suggests and it works out real well for city driving. Shift pattern then is 2L-3L-4L-5L-4H-5H. You just upgraded to a fully synchronized six...
I have the electric on mine and would not trade for a hydralic. Had several dump trucks over the years....always trying to back up or reposition while lifting, or not lifting the bed.....riding the clutch...forgetting to dis-engage PTO....wondering why the bed stopped lifting when I am holding...
Glad it worked out for you.
I was alittle farther away than others but I had worked on my brakes last year and knew enough to be dangerous! Rebuilt the airpack, etc....
Great to see the support of the forum.
Heck, I can't get my relatives to hold the wrench on the bolt to tighten a nut...
Brakes the only repair needed?
May be easier for someone to come fix it on site then tow it 80 miles.

I wish to express sincere appreciation to Clinto for organizing the GA Rally.
I did not get to spend much time at the event because of personal reasons....
However, it is guys like Clinto and everyone who helped at the Rally that keep this hobby alive and well!
[thumbzup]
I didn't get to go on the trailride but was privileged to be part of the convoy from the campsite to the turnoff.....
Had to go thru the valley (Unicoi) this morning.....
Still a blue haze in the air! rofl

Hi Clinto:
I am able to attend the rally....had a conflicting trip scheduled from last year that is now cancelled.
Since I am so close, is there anything extra that I can provide?
JB
That is a long trip....
Thinkl I would some room for my OWN spares and tools...
Based on location I can understand trip to TX. Did you just buy the truck in Ohio?
Re: RE: Re: RE: Going rate for a clean 2 1/2 ton running tru
I'd sell my nuts for a clean truck that runs, forget the radials. I'll take care of those later!
