So how hard or practical is it to remove the bed ? I am looking into building a Expedition truck (ok a oversized 4x4 RV ) and am looking for space in the chassis for storage. I built a 1/35 scale model and I see some space between the frame rails but the bed would need to be pulled to install...

Been looking at the M1078 back East. Was thinking if I got a runner I could just ferry it back. The shippers are getting $3000 +. I have a F250 I would drive back with my tools and put it in tow for the trip to AZ. My idea would be to give a good check over, filters,fluids. What would you take...

What about a good offroad fab shop ? They would be able to build a replacement . Just a idea.
