Yes, the electric warn winches require a black controller with a toggle switch. The hydraulic mile marker winches use yellow puch button controllers.

With the correct reinforcement plates they should be fine. Two of my HMMWVs came with fender mounted metal fuel can holders, and a third has the plastic holders mentioned above.
