God speed to everyone on their ways to DT... seems like Mr. Murphy's busy. Think PMCS, and Drive Safe!

Brought a truck back to life, now what?

Any mechanical device does the same thing... with that thought in your mind, you'll probably never look at your car/truck in the same way again.

Who has lollipop lights on their Deuce

Just an FYI, those in JasonJC's pictures are mounted backwards. The painted side is supposed to face forward, while the lens is supposed to face to the rear. Michael's truck has them mounted correctly.

    M817 Transmission Grinding

That's a good point--your clutch could just be not disengaging fully.

    M817 Transmission Grinding

Floating and/or double-clutching will be your best bet until you can get your trans rebuilt or get a replacement one.

    6.2 Diesel in a M-37?

They can be anywhere from cheap ($500 +/-) to super expensive depending on the condition and whether they've just been rebuilt, decked out with a fancy IP and head etc, and things like that. I know around here in the SE you can get them cut out of old panel-vans and delivery trucks, but I'm not...

    My newest toys

Gaz 69 is the jeep, the BTR is the armored 6x6.

    6.2 Diesel in a M-37?

NO. Definitely go with a 4bt. Much higher quality engine. More power, more efficient, more flexibility, MUCH more reliability.

    Got some 11.00 x 20s

11:00s are very nice. I love mine. Running them singled is very nice, too. Pump the fronts up to 55 and it's like power steering.

    2010 GA Rally Buy/Sell/Trade Thread

Jeeze, just get a plastic "FutureFork"... your local feed store or tack store should carry 'em. Then find someone young and impressionable to start "pickin'"

    Deuce "stack" behind cab..?

Ditto. I park with the stack facing the side of my barn, so there's a fun target practice aspect added, too.

Kennesaw Mtn GA MVPA Show and Swap Meet

As a member of the GAMVPA, I agree 100%. It is also a bit of a jeep club, as nobody but maybe two or three people with larger, M-series vehicles are ever at any meetings. After all, the world is run by those who show up.

    I Bought a Mog

But he'd have to sell the Mog, and come up with like 20 more for free, to sell again to be able to afford the MP5...

Kennesaw Mtn GA MVPA Show and Swap Meet

There should be plenty of cheap commercial food nearby- the proximity to I75 guarantees a WH. GreenSteel- I'm pretty sure one of our usual vendors has a good chunk of 135/211 parts. I think it's John Vara- but I'm not 100% sure.
