Welcome
Your welcome! I am on the road for work but hope that when I get back my new studs and nuts are at the house so I can start getting a more comfortable feeling about driving down the road!! Great info by the hijackers!!! It is somewhat relivant considering I will have that problem on...
I drive mine as my primary truck... 35+ miles a day 5-7 days a week 52 weeks a year!! Other than when it is down for maint! usually only a couple of days if more than one day! Burn WMO primarily and some Jetfuel and or Diesel !!
A good set of metric tools...sockets and wrenches... GearWrenches Rock!!! I recommend that everyone should have a set of standard and metric gearwrenches in their toolbox! A mini sledge is always a must plus a set of prybars up to 2-3' long!! They help for changing belts!!
You are right about the sudden/ short time to fail... It happened in less than 40 miles!! I am afraid that my failure was due to improper torque and It caused one stud to fail and so now I am gonna change them all... For two reasons... one like stated above cause of possible unknown damage...
It should be split for the corners if it is a solid cover.. Like the vynil ones that the guys are talking about! How far are you from Augusta Jimma? Maybe I could drive out and help you determine the proper instillation.

Thanks for the advice guys...
I have heard of using a large heavy duty C clamp and welding a nut on the end and use a rachet to press them out... Done plenty of that kinda thing in my line of work but usually with smaller C clamps!
I plan on pulling the hub... I will probably beat them out!! (hehehehe:mrgreen: I said beat it out in a thread about nuts....:mrgreen:hehehehehe)
I hope it is as easy as the guy at work says.. He use to change them on big rigs...
I usually do a heavy check once a week and a light check daily... I was in to big a hurry today and didnt take the time to check out the truck in the daylight after the suspicions were arroused the night before.. I usually look the truck over the end of the day by kicking tires on the rears and...
I just ordered my new studs and nuts to change them to the RH thread like they should be! Has anyone changed the studs before? Is it just as easy as they say... remove the hub and beat them out and beat the new ones in? and special stuff needed??
I usually do too... If you can see the nuts have a white strip on them... I was late for work and did a quick check that no large quantities of fluids were puddled under her and away I went... I kicked all the tires th night before checking if one of the rears might be flat... I got lost in the...
Ok, I know some are waiting to hear abou balls but that stuff should be left on the playgirl website....
I was getting a small vibration in the steering wheel last night on my way home from work... It felt more like I had picked up something in the treads and it was giving me a out of balance...
This is an awesome thread!! Did you do anything special to the rear hubs when you went to the singles... I would love to put 395's on the stock rims but am curious what else you had to do to get this setup to work for you.. Also love the hitch idea!! Good looking truck and setup!!
