12v can be had directly off 1 of the batteries or you can get a 24v to 12v transformer, which is the better way. They are on ebay routinely about 30-50$:-D
I use a drum heater (55gal setup) Stump uses a water heater element or 2, I have insulated my tank with the rolled aluminum faced bubble wrap. It works good except I should have put a small amount of cardboard or some other insulator between the bubble wrap and the heater as now there is a line...

Simple centrifuge...thats the name but avengusa has built centrifuges too, if I had to do it over again I would buy his. Or you could build one if you have the skill...my buddy stump built his.
I currently drive my 300sd Benz on a blend 80% veg 20% diesel and have for years. Some of the newer engines I might hesitate to do that though. I have 1 tank. Me and Stump both use centrifuged oil to remove the heavies. As with anything your results may vary but so far I have excellent results...
Gov liquidation. I got mine for 1500 and could have driven it home. Then you have a nice parts truck! Seriously I have heard just the axles in your CUCV are worth well over 2 K so try Richmond GL and try to bid on one that starts and runs. Just my 2cents.:-D
You may want to change the filter to a spin on as the square filters take forever to fill by cranking the starter. The spin on ones can be prefilled! Look in Walmarts boating section there is a kit with the block and filter for around 30$:-D
