    do the resisters on the fire wall fail??

    if you are getting higher voltage with the glow plugs active its a sign that the plugs are bad (at least a few of them) the voltage will continue to rise as more of the plugs fail (snowball effect)

    M1009 Spare tire needed.

    Its a civilian tire and rim. The rim is a standard GM 15" steel rim. Just get a matching tire from a tire shop (for a spare it just has to be the same size and load rating.)

    jim, not true for every vehicle. I can drive in the city all day long and get out of my truck and the rotore are cool to the touch.     I'd go with a overdrive transmission for sure, esp with your gearing.

    RE: M1008 fuel pump That rod cant fall out, just down (there is a plate that it hits). And if it does fall down you cant get the pump to go in.

    The resistance is a bit different than the wellman plugs and could throw off the timing of the controller.
