When I was looking for an M939 series five ton I was also told the very same thing from some one that had first hand experience as well.
There are many such warnings about these trucks. I just wish mine had the ABS installed.

Hi Mark,
I just spoke with Memphis Truck Parts about a O ring seal and we started discussing the difference between the wheels with the 5/8" stud and the 3/4" stud wheels (10 bolt combat five ton rims).
The parts guy John refered to them as:
A1 wth 5/8" lock ring bolts
A2 with 3/4" lock ring...

four wheels with the 1 1/8" nuts (possibly A2 wheels)
three with the 15/16" nuts (possibly...

Well it looks like the second wheel went easier and faster then the first one. I think it had a lot to do with the fact that I bought two different tire spoons to help with the job. The longer extension help a great deal with plenty of leverage. The dismount took only 15 min. from un-bolting the...
I sure hope that's not the case. I'm experienced with the first one and know something about what I've done the day before. This should make things go much faster the second time around and so on and so on..........
Funny thing is........
In the body shop I watched a glass guy take out a...
