Hello Alfred,
Man up, put your foot down, and go out and get one. Whether she likes it or not.
If you give in, she will own you forever, and you will regret it.
If she splits or never rides in it, too bad, that is her loss, and then maybe she is not the type of girl for you.
Or just tell...

Hi all,
I know exactly where that museum is, been to events there before. So come **** or high water!
Me & my M1009 will be there! At least on the 18th, because I will probably be at work on Friday the 17th.
See you guys there..
CJ
Looks good,
Makes me think about putting one like that on my M1009, so I can free up interior space too.
Please pm me, with more info. on how you did it. So if I decide to, I can do the same,
or similar.
Thank you, Have a good night,
CJ
Hi all,
Speaking of CB's and the cobra 29 ltd.. I have one.
But there is a loose connection in it somewhere, where it cannot transmit or receive.
(I cannot remember which...)
Is there anyone on here in Georgia, capable of fixing it? If so, how much would it cost me?
I would like to get this...
Hello,
With all due respect, No offense intended.
Do NOT bob the truck, respect the original design for its usefulness, and leave it
the orginial length.
I do not have one of those trucks yet.
But when I do, I am going to keep it stock and original.
I do not understand why some people are...
Hello blitz,
Welcome to Steel Soldiers.
If you ever make your way up to the Smyrna/Marietta , Ga area,
you will have a friend here.
Have a good day,

Hello everyone,
Would any of you just happen to be planning a trip from the Reading, Pa
In Berks county) area to the Atlanta, Ga. area within the next 3-6 months or so.?
If yes, I might need you to pickup a couple of front seats for an M1009,
that I am considering buying.
Because...
Hello ABN,
Thank you for the reply and the link.
I can see it says 27 gallons, so I guess then that is it.
Unless the seller dropped it, and installed a smaller one.
Have a good night,
CJ
Hello,
I have a 1985 M1009 Chevy Blazer CUCV.
How do I find out exactly what size my fuel tank is?
The seller I got it from said it had a 20 gallon.
But things I have read here and the TM's have said,
it could either have a 25 or 27 gallon.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you...
Hello Sir,
No offense and I am not trying to burst your bubble, but...
Turn tail and run...
You should have respect for the original design and intended use of the M1009.
To keep it original and stock.
You can get what you want just by buying a civilian SUV as cheap as possible,
and then...
Hi all,
Thank you for the information.
I called the company that makes it, LUCAS, and they said it was safe, even the higher level tech I was transferred to said it would be safe for a diesel with glow plugs.
So I put it in, and it runs ALOT better now than it did before.
I will be...
Hi All,
Who in the Atlanta area is capable and willing to help me with my M1009,
tomorrow? (Sunday 7/18/10...)
Since I learn more/better by seeing and doing than reading.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I will owe ya one.
I would like assistance with getting my fuel gauge...
Hi all,
Has anyone here used... "LUCAS upper cylinder lubricant and injector cleaner
for diesel engines"?
I got a bottle of it today when I got that new fuel filter.
Just to give the fuel system a good cleaning.
But I have not used it yet, because I forgot to ask the guy at the auto parts...
Hello Beanman,
No worries.
NO, I did NOT fill up with gas. LOL
I filled up with Diesel, since you can only use diesel in a diesel engine,
besides the fuel gauge on the dashboard says Diesel fuel only, anyway.
Have a good day,
CJ
re: What have you done to your CUCV today/lately?
Hi all,
The only thing I have been able to do with mine lately is,
driving it to and from work, without incident.
The things that need to be done are fairly minor,
so I am going to do them as I have time and money.
I will keep you all...
Hello Chuck,
That is not something I have to worry about if I want some WVO.
I work at a catering company, and I can get all the WVO I want for free.
My employer already said yes, I can have it.
I just got to modify my engine to use it, if I want to take that step.
Have a good day,
CJ
Re: M1009 - What do I have here?

Hi All,
Has anyone had snorkel pipes done for their exhaust?
I have seen it done on some active duty US military vehicles.
But just wondered if any of you have had it done for yours?
I would like to have my tailpipes extended/snorkeled to at very least hood level, if not roof level...
