i will check into that. it's kind of hard for me to know what's good and bad. i have nothing to compare it to and i have no prior experience with trucks like this.
This will be my grocery getter, i figure i can park it right next to a prius. i have no places near where i live i can get her...
iits kind of funny but it just goes to show how awesome this message board is and the folks that use it.
maybe i should sneak a pic in the album of my bike, just to mix it up a bit. lol
no idea. i just put up some more pics of the suspension. check them out.
the person i bought this from didnt do the lift, neither did the person before him.
I have been following this truck for quite sometime. it was love at first sight.
as soon as i can grab the pics i will.
the hydro pump is located next to the air pump but below. I'm not a fan of the bobbed ones, it kills me to see when people do that.
a lot of work is a understatement. they relocated the rear axle further back, 6" or 8" lift, reached the springs...
I just went thru some pics when i looked at this truck last year. I have a few pics i added to the album showing more on the hydr steering. I will take more over the weekend.

Thanks.... I fell in love with the 53''s . i see people do the 47''s and they just look to thin. the 53''s got the width to back them up.
someone did a lot of work to this beast
it's snowing right now so i wont get to it today but i will. i may just video a walk around focusing on the PS setup for you and send you the link. i have some pics also from it from when the previous seller had it. i'll check those and add any to the album so check back.
cool.... here is a link to the album i am running. not a lot in there yet for pics but a few. what exactly would you want to see? the pistons foe the steering or the pump and stuff?

so before i start the next step changing the fuel filters, are there any good suggestions? should i bother trying to use the petcocks to drain the bowls or am i asking for trouble?
I got the belt on and i had to loosen the bottom raditor bolts and use the push stick idea. so thank you both. here are some pics.

i will look at it closer today. i think what i saw is the alt and fan both had 2 grooves now with nothing on them right now. the crank only had one groove free. this may have something to do with a hydrolic steering was added at some point and may be using one of the belt groves off the crank...
thanks, they both sound like easy options.
i do have one more question about the belts. the fan has a 2 groove pulley. one belt wraps around alt/fan/crank. it looks like the second belt just wraps from the fan/alt. is that correct?
i need some pointers with my first duce. it's the Hercules 465-t
i know this sounds ridiculous but is there a trick to help getting the alt/fan belt over the crank pulley? i cant squeeze it between the lower fan cowl and the crank pulley.
so its officially in on my property now (YEAH:grin:). tomorrow off to napa to get the belt and see about the fuel filters (off that list hndrsonj posted for me). the fuel tank stinks like linseed oil or turpentine:sad:, so i plan on draining all that out and somehow try to flush the lines if...
thanks again for the info. i litterly just got of the phone with the hauler and it's 1 hr out. my hands are shaking a bit... i have hunted this white rhino since 2009 and i cant believe i bagged it. :jumpin:
