Bjorn, I just realized. You can't have this truck. You'll have to give it up!
Why? The dash is too small. Where are you gonna add the 20 other gauges, indicators and controls your Deuce has? ;-)
Hmm, I'd in reality need 4 valves or two double stacked valves.
Two(or one stacked) on/off valves for coolant flow to that tank and two 3-way for fuel supply/return selection.
Question is where to put them so they're easy to reach. On the floor next to the driver's side wouldn't be bad, but...
No need to shoot the messenger. One man's waste is another man's treasure. Some places pay to have it picked up, some places get paid for it to be picked up. Once it goes into a company's tank I consider it theirs (and that's the law too). Places I'll be getting it from are the ones that still...
I'm thinking that a manual valve would be most reliable...but....not as easy to switch. Having to lean down to the floor to move the lever....I'd have to re-route some fuel lines too in order to do it. Hmm....
More specifically, some military trailers work like trains. The air reservoir fills with air from the emergency line. The service brakes work normally pressurizing on the service glad hand when you step on the brakes and the diaphragm on the master cylinder actuating to engage the brakes on the...
RE: Source for 24 Volt 6 pFuel Solenoid Normally in one posi
One other thought is that for utter reliability, perhaps I should go with a manual valve on the floor of the truck like the 5 tons? I think I've found a 6 port diverter valve (x2 3 ports stacked) in one body.
RE: Source for 24 Volt 6 pFuel Solenoid Normally in one posi
Ok, I've found the Pollack folks but I'm a bit worried about not having a reliable valve system. Fiberglass body? Huh? Why not brass.
A pair of 24 vdc 3 way valves could work. Question is if they'll work with the fuel return...
Cool, thanks. I do have the fittings on the solenoid. I'm going to have to get a Tee fitting as well and the nuts/sleeve for that as well so I can Tee into the airline from the tanks closer to the left side where the horn is going.
Sunday, in between working on the yard, I decided to try to add in the second horn for my deiuce on the left side fender for a nice 4 tone effect. Well, I took a fitting off to the parts store to look for extra fittings and a Tee. But what I found was that the airline fittings on my deuce don't...
Mount the Oil Cooler and Filter housing remotely on the left side of the hood (where to put the heater then...).
Almost seems like a one way flow valve would be the best thing to install in the supply side of the filter housings.
RE: Re: RE: Check valve for oil filters?
Are the current mounts removable from the engine? Would it be as simple as remote mounting them and adding some hoses?
What about an electric oil pump that's a bypass that pushes oil into the galleries and gets Oil Pressure up for a wet start? Flip a switch, watch the oil pressure come up, flip the switch off, then start the engine.
