I agree with BillW. I've used Gillespie 24087 semi luster paint on a couple of restorations with great results. With hardener added, the paint will not 'mark up' as easily. The hardener will also give the paint a bit more sheen, but not enough to make it shiney. It cleans up nice and you can wax...

Speaking of heaters, and not to hijack this thread, but does anyone know where I might find the 'stand' for the coolant heater in the M809 series trucks? The heaters mount on the right side of the cummins engine in the 5 tons. There is a 'platform' or 'stand' that kind of sets the heater in...

Here are some pictures that I took from Chuck's M146 recovery. Mostly the same pics that Chuck posted. The trailers were in real good shape. We had fun and there were no casualties.... lol His M818 sure looks nice with the new paint job.

Give these guys a try. http://www.classicindustries.com/truck.htm They have good parts, I've been using them for years. Costs a little more than LMC but the parts always fit and are of quality.
