Tom, what happened is that when they put the block heater in, there is now air trapped in the motor. The temp sensor is on the top of the head so that is where the air settles during idle thus giving you a false coolant reading. You need to bleed the air out.
Start the truck up and let it run...

True. After spending time behind the wheel of both 2.5T's and 5T's, the 5T M818 tractor has an almost 'sporty' feel to it compared to the M35. It weighs in at just under 20K, but the 5T actually feels easier to drive. The cummins has lots of low end grunt...
The paint fix looks good Tyler. Canvak might not take to the canvas very well once it's painted though. But then again, the paint will act as a water repellant. Bare canvas treated with a healthy dose of canvak may keep any future 'taggings' from soaking in to the material.
