Update I pulled the generator apart, and saw that one of the brushes was broken and worn down. i ordered a rebuild kit from midwest military and replaced the brushes, but it still didn't go. I had it tested at the generator shop and the armature is shorted... (a "growler" is an interesting...

I verified that the truck is not charging... Voltmeter across the batteries shows 24 volts and doesn't change when running, not running.. Also shows "yellow" on the guage... i'm very sure its not charging TESTING I HAVE DONE I replaced the regulator about a year ago with a new military solid...

I'd be more concerned about the level of Ethanol in the fuel. I will go bad much faster than "normal" gas since it absorbs water. no amount of additives will prevent that except removing the ethanol... if you don't drive it often, the fuel can turn in as little as 6 weeks. you can find...
